Viscoelastic behaviour of porous sintered steels compact

چکیده
This paper describes the viscoelastic behaviour of sintered steels with porosities of 12, 20 and 33%, using a dynamic mechanical analyser. Test specimens were prepared from premix powders of 100–150 mm size by a process of die compaction, delubrication and sintering. The influences of test temperature and vibrational frequency on storage and loss modulus and tangent delta have been investigated. The investigated operating temperature and frequency was varied from 25 to 280uC and from 10 to 50 Hz respectively.

A STUDY ON WEAR RATES OF 100Cr6 STEEL RUNNING AGAINST SINTERED STEEL SURFACES UNDER DRY AND STARVED LUBRICATION
This paper investigates the tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel pin running against sintered steel bearing material used in hermetic compressors. Tests were conducted under dry and starved lubrication sliding conditions in air at room temperature. Although porous structure acts as crack initiation sites thus limiting the wear resistance of sintered iron in dry sliding conditions under high co...
متن کاملTHE EFFECT OF NANO BIOGLASS ON THE FABRICATION OF POROUS TITANIUM SCAFFOLDS
In this study, porous titanium composites containing 5, 10 and 15 wt. % nanobioglass were fabricated by space holder sintering process. The pore morphology and phase constituents of the porous samples were characterized by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The mechanical properties were determined by compression test. The porosity of the sintered samples show...
متن کاملReflection and Transmission of Longitudinal Wave at Micropolar Viscoelastic Solid/Fluid Saturated Incompressible Porous Solid Interface
In this paper, the reflection and refraction of longitudinal wave from a plane surface separating a micropolar viscoelastic solid half space and a fluid saturated incompressible half space is studied. A longitudinal wave (P-wave) impinges obliquely at the interface. Amplitude ratios for various reflected and transmitted waves have been obtained. Then these amplitude ratios have been computed nu...
متن کاملAn in situ Study of NiTi Powder Sintering Using Neutron Diffraction
This study investigates phase transformation and mechanical properties of porous NiTi alloys using two different powder compacts (i.e., Ni/Ti and Ni/TiH2) by a conventional press-and-sinter means. The compacted powder mixtures were sintered in vacuum at a final temperature of 1373 K. The phase evolution was performed by in situ neutron diffraction upon sintering and cooling. The predominant pha...
متن کاملThermal Convection in a (Kuvshiniski-type) Viscoelastic Rotating Fluid in the Presence of Magnetic Field through Porous Medium (TECHNICAL NOTE)
The effect of magnetic field on an incompressible (Kuvshiniski-Type) viscoelastic rotating fluid heated from below in porous medium is considered. For the case of stationary convection, magnetic field and medium permeability have both stabilizing and destabilizing effect on the thermal convection under some conditions whereas rotation has a stabilizing effect on the thermal convection. In the...
